“Violet Brooks is the best possible realtor we could have asked for. She's got to be one of the very best realtors in Houston - I wouldn't be surprised if she is *the* best (seriously). She was so good that I'm worried that if we move out of state or if she becomes too busy for us in the future, that we'll never be able to find someone we're happy with again, as we've been spoiled! There is so much to say that it's hard to know where to start. First, we were very impressed by her honesty during the house search - she was critical of houses, always aware of resale value and our preferences. Rather than trying to close a deal ASAP, she was definitely trying to help us find a place we'd love, and also get us the best possible deal. We found our house right around our new baby's arrival and we were in over our heads, so overwhelmed. To say she went over and above is an understatement: Violet just took care of *everything* for us. She helped us shop around for the best lenders and pitted them against each other to get the best rate (we ended up getting an *amazing* interest rate). She found us the best people to work with for every part of the process: the appraisal, people to get the roof redone after we bought it, insurance, electricity, etc. etc. Violet is incredibly knowledgeable about everything to do with real estate. Her knowledge of the process, of how much houses are worth, the quality of the areas, what problems we might face with a given house, etc., was invaluable. Violet is super sharp and has a real ability to read people, which came out during the two different stages of negotiation. Negotiating well, and knowing how much risk to take while negotiating, is hard, and her advice turned out to be impeccable. Her negotiation skills saved us A LOT of money.
