Alief Schools
Alief homes are zoned to the Alief Independent School District (AISD).
Serving a 36.6-square-mile area, the AISD features several National Blue Ribbon recipients and magnet schools. Some recipient/magnet schools are Olle Middle and Alief Kerr High School.
AISD comprises 46 schools in total: 24 elementary schools, six intermediate schools, six middle schools, and ten high schools. It serves the Alief neighborhood and portions of Westchase, Bellaire West, Royal Oaks, and Brays Oaks. AISD also has an alternative elementary zoning boundary for bilingual students.

Elementary Schools
- Viola Mahanay Elementary School at 13215 High Star. Mahanay Elementary opened its doors in August 1973. The school was Alief ISD's sixth built school in the area. The school was named after Viola Mahanay, a long-time custodian in the community of Alief. Mahanay Elementary seeks to help learners to develop skills and problem-solvers. Through emphasizing knowledge acquisition, character, and collaboration.

Sugar Land Middle School at 321 Seventh St. The school's Professional Learning Community is motivated to create an environment that promotes high standards. Programs include Robotics & Engineering, Arts, and Career & Technology Education.

E.A. Olle Middle School at 9200 Boone Rd. The school was named after Elder Augustus Olle, who served the Alief with long, dedicated service. Olle Middle ranked 5th among Alief Independent School District's middle schools.
High Schools
- Alief Kerr High School at 8150 Sugarland Howell. Kerr High formally opened its doors in March of 1995. The school was named after Carey Jean Kerr, who served the Alief ISD. Kerr High offers many program options, including Advanced Academic Courses and After School Programs. Many clubs and organizations are also available.
