“Our experience with Courtney Williams from Houston Properties was nothing short of spectacular. This attempt at a review does not come close to capturing the extent of the positive impact Courtney had on our house hunting process, and ultimately, our lives. We’ll still give it a try. We were able to find the perfect home for us thanks to Courtney. She possesses a vast amount of knowledge about many things, which gave us an integrated understanding of different aspects of every property, like structure, plumbing, HVAC, permits, neighborhoods, contracts, etc. Once we found our house we were able to address things that needed repair that we would have never identified otherwise. Our house search lasted almost 2 years and we felt bad about how long it was taking. However, this was a non-issue for Courtney since her the priority was finding the right place for us at the right time. In several instances, while we were out of town, Courtney was so accommodating that we moved through the whole process from a remote house viewing to making an offer seamlessly and in a timely manner. Courtney was a joy to work with, and anyone would be lucky to have her.” - Xavier Refunjol (Google Review)

Huntsville Area TX History
Pleasant and Ephraim Gray founded Huntsville in 1835 as a trading post to engage in trade with Native Americans. It was named after Huntsville, Alabama, where the Gray family used to live.
Originally, Huntsville, Texas was in the northeast part of Montgomery County, which started in 1837. When Walker County was formed in 1846, Huntsville became its main city. On June 9, 1837, Huntsville got its first post office, and Ephraim Gray was the first person in charge of it. The Gray family's trading post was in a good location for trading with the Native American tribes.
There were peaceful relationships between these tribes and the first settlers near Huntsville. As trade grew along the Trinity River, more people arrived to enjoy the timber and fertile land. Huntsville became busier and more important.
Today, Huntsville continues to evolve as a dynamic neighborhood. It offers a mix of natural charm and contemporary amenities. Living in Huntsville is appealing to those who want a homestead and modern lifestyle.
