Madeline TX History


Madeline is a gated community that has New Orleans-style houses. The community is situated in the heart of Shady Acres.

Shady Acres began as a heavily wooded area. Shadyacres Investment Company purchased 100 acres of land from the Reinermann Original Grant. The community's development began sometime in the 1920s. Its name was sought after the soaring shade trees that canopy the land.

Madeline neighborhood houses were mostly established in 2014. It features spacious single-family homes.

Madeline is a sought-after community today. The community boasts its proximity to one of Houston's major highways, the Interstate 610.
