Memorial Green TX History
The Memorial Green project started in 2014. It was when Midway acquired the 14-acre vacant property along Memorial Drive.
Houston-based Midway is also the developer behind CityCentre. It is a mixed-use development a mile from the site.
Midway's original master plan included high-class establishments. This includes luxury apartments, a 4-story office building, and 57 luxury homes.
The developer revised their plans in 2015. The team opted for more single-family homes, boutique office spaces, and ground-level retail.
Before the luxury development, the area was a senior living facility. The land stayed vacant for 15 years after the facility's demolition.
