Sunset Terrace TX History


Developed in the late 1940s, Sunset Terrace is a residential neighborhood with around 489 single-family properties. The community is built on what used to be Harris County Poor Farm. The city of Houston annexed the area shortly after its development.

The neighborhoods of Sunset Terrace and Montclair Place share a civic association, which helps maintain the area’s quiet atmosphere.

Residents of Sunset Terrace have excellent access to some of Houston’s finest shopping and entertainment destinations.
