Native Americans used to live in Spring. In 1836, Spring became part of Harrisburg municipality in Texas. During this time, the community became known for its sugar cane, cotton, and vegetable crops.
Spring started to expand and grew bigger at the end of the 1800s.
The expansion took place after the International-Great Northern Railroad opened. It connected Spring to Fort Worth.
The expansion continued throughout the 1900s. In 1990, Spring had a total of 33,111 residents.
Spring continues to be a significant neighborhood in Texas. This large neighborhood is home to smaller communities, including Falls at Imperial Oaks.
