Woodshire TX History
The Woodshire area is related to the Knollwood/Woodside area.
This area was the former location of the Main Street Airport. Houston Chronicle wrote articles on the airport as far back as the 1930s. It was in 1952 when the airport stopped operating.
Claims of the first houses go back to 1951 and 1953. The claims came from a former president of the KVCC. The KVCC governs Knollwood. One of its sections is Woodshire.
Due to the cheap living costs in the area, people have grown to love it.
