River Oaks Country Club Estates TX History

River Oaks Country Club Estates was built in 1924 by brothers Will Hogg and Mike Hogg. After founding the estates, the Hogg brothers assigned their friend, Hugh Potter, as the estates' president.

Under the supervision of Hugh Potter, the Country Club Estates expanded tremendously. From 1926 to 1947, nineteen platted subdivisions joined Country Club Estates.

Since then, the neighborhood has grown and become one of Houston's most expensive communities.
