Buying a condo in Ivy Lofts can be tricky. It’s a new building so there are no historical sales trends (like you can find from some of Houston’s top-performing luxury condos). It is also the first residential condo unit in Houston with "micro-units" and a proposed "condotel" set up: it's harder to project how properties will maintain its value.
The building can have a lot of residents (and renters/guests) when at full capacity, some floors may have better privacy/exclusivity compared to other sections of the building.
In addition, Ivy Lofts is pricing units at some of the highest prices per square foot of any comparable building in the city. It is unproven if the market will support these high prices per square foot (compared to prices from nearby Herrin Lofts, The Edge, St Germain or Bayou Lofts).
