“Great experience! We’ve now purchased three homes through Houston Properties (and sold two!) and each time the service has been fantastic from start to finish. They are professionals when it comes to preparing a home for sale, every time we’ve sold the home for more than expected. Likewise, for a new purchase, they know exactly how to find the right home with all of the right characteristics that are great for enjoying long term but also great for resale if needed. I can’t recommend them highly enough!” - Andrew B (Google Review)

Park At Memorial Heights TX History

Memorial Heights measures 120-acre in area. It is one of the neighborhoods that joins Rice Military/Washington Avenue. Washington Avenue borders the area to the north. Washington Cemetery to the east, and Memorial Drive to the south. But Heights Boulevard to the west was somewhat forgotten up until the late 1990s.

Memorial Heights’ rebirth came in 1997 as a Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ). A TIRZ is a measure taken to redevelop forgotten and abandoned neighborhoods.

Developers started buying up land within Memorial Heights. Old homes and rice silos were then torn down. Upscale residential and commercial buildings served as replacements.

Development for the Park at Memorial Heights started a few years later. Developers finished it by 2007.

Today, Memorial Heights has a great mix of patio homes and townhomes.
